How do I become a member

We encourage people to join as a member of the national group as it supports CMA and helps it grow in a sustainable way. As part of membership discounts are offered for classes, workshops, events, musical instruments, and merchandise. Membership is an option your local branch admin person will offer as part of class or event fees.

Please note that membership fees are different to class fees. Each CMA centre has its own class fee structure

12 month Membership: $60.00.

BEGINNERS CLASSES

Everyone is welcome, please bring full length pants, a T-shirt that you can tuck in, and comfortable flat soled shoes.

Classes usually involve a warmup, a few basic movement steps, a few attacks and defenses, some conditioning, and some sequences of movements to practice in pairs to prepare you for playing a game of capoeira. Anyone can join in regardless of fitness, gymnastic ability, and previous experience.
