LATEST NEWS:
- No Monday classes for the public holidays 30 Jan and 6 Feb: beginners welcome to join Tuesday and Thursday classes. There will be the first roda for the year on Friday 3 Feb!
- Kids classes start on Tuesday 7 February with a new weekly Thursday class starting 9 February.
The new Thursday class is for all ages up to 12, the Tuesday class is for the older kids from 8 to 12 years. Classes are $65 per term. Check out some photos of the classes in action here.
The Capoeira Academy and Cultural Centre is a community space, located centrally in Newton, 29 Randolph Str (behind the 'Golf Warehouse' - map below). The Centre hosts regular capoeira classes and events, and a range of other community activities such as dance and music classes, film nights and lectures, language classes and very occasionally parties.
Beginners are welcome to turn up to any beginner or mixed class. We suggest you wear loose comfortable clothes and light training shoes. Any questions email Tucano: capoeira@capoeira.org.nz
