Our special guest,

Contra Mestre Formigao is visiting from Sao Paulo and teaching classes at the Auckland academy and some workshops in Christchurch, Wellington and Taranaki. (For the period of May - June 2012)

CM Formigao is one Mestre Jogo de Dentro's senior students/disciples of Capoeira Angola, who runs the Sao Paulo academy of Semente do Jogo de Angola.

 

The Capoeira Academy and Cultural Centre,

is a community space, located centrally in Newton, 29 Randolph Str (behind the 'Golf Warehouse' - map below). The Centre hosts regular capoeira classes and events, and a range of other community activities such as dance and music classes, film nights and lectures, language classes and very occasionally parties.


Beginners,

are welcome to turn up to any beginner or mixed class. We suggest you wear loose comfortable clothes and light training shoes. Any questions email Tucano:capoeira@capoeira.org.nz
